How to Temporarily Disable All cPFence Functions?

If you need to pause cPFence activity for troubleshooting or other purposes, you can temporarily disable all features while preserving your current configuration. Follow the steps below:

Step 1: Backup Your Current Settings

Before disabling cPFence, it's recommended to back up your current settings so you can restore them later.

cpfence --backup-cpf-settings

Step 2: Disable All Features

This command disables all cPFence modules and active protections:

cpfence --disable-all

Alternatively, you may uninstall cPFence if you prefer a clean temporary removal.

Step 3: Restore Your Settings

When you're ready to re-enable cPFence, simply restore your previous settings with this command:

cpfence --restore-cpf-settings

This will return cPFence to its original state with your saved configuration.
