Fix Ownership & Permissions (WebUI Method)
- Sign in to the cPFence WebUI and choose the relevant server.
- Open Tools & Utilities ➜ WP-AutoShield Bulk Tools.
- Locate the Security & Hardening section and click Set WP Permissions.
- Confirm the action; cPFence sets recommended permissions on core files, uploads, and configuration paths.
- Review the streamed output for any site that needs manual follow-up.
This ensures PHP files, directories, and uploads follow the secure defaults expected by WP-AutoShield.
Command Line (CLI) Method
- SSH into the server.
- Run the permissions fixer:
cpfence --bulk-set-wp-permissions
Pair this with the LiteSpeed permission tool when syncing changes from staging back to production.
