How to Stop All cPFence Emails and Use Only Slack Notifications?

If you want to disable all cPFence email notifications and rely only on Slack mobile or desktop alerts, you can do so easily. This is helpful if you prefer to keep your email inbox clean and manage all server notifications in one Slack channel.

Option 1: Remove the Email via WebUI

To disable emails from the cPFence WebUI:

  1. Go to System Settings > Adjust Settings (Single Server).
  2. Find the email field and clear it (leave it blank).
  3. Click Save to apply the changes.

Option 2: Disable Emails via CLI

If you prefer the command line, you can manually clear the configured email in the main config file:

EMAIL_RECIPIENT=""

Edit this line inside the file:

/opt/cpfence/config.conf

Save the file after making the change. This disables email notifications.
