How to bulk Rename the WordPress Admin User using cPFence Tools?

Rename Default Admin (WebUI Method)

 

  1. Sign in to cPFence WebUI and select the server.
  2. Go to Tools & UtilitiesWP-AutoShield Bulk Tools.
  3. Open Rename WP Admin inside the Security & Hardening area.
  4. Click Rename Admin User; cPFence replaces the admin login everywhere with a unique username and provide you the mapping.
  5. Leave the output window open until each site reports success.

This is a one-click way to eliminate the most common WordPress username from brute-force lists.

Command Line (CLI) Method

  1. SSH into the server.
  2. Execute:
    cpfence --bulk-rename-wp-admin

Check the output for the new usernames so you can share them with your customers.
