How to bulk Enable/Disable WordPress Search Engine Indexing using cPFence Tools?

Toggle Search Engine Visibility (WebUI Method)

  1. Log into cPFence WebUI and choose the server.
  2. Go to Tools & UtilitiesWP-AutoShield Bulk Tools.
  3. Open Disable Search Engine Indexing to hide sites, or Enable Search Engine Indexing to expose them again.
  4. Confirm the action; cPFence flips the “Discourage search engines” flag inside wp_options for every selected site.
  5. Watch the log to verify completion.

Use the site selector toggle when you only want staging domains hidden.

Command Line (CLI) Method

  1. SSH into the target server.
  2. Disable indexing everywhere:
    cpfence --bulk-disable-search-engine-index
  3. Re-enable indexing when ready:
    cpfence --bulk-enable-search-engine-index

Don’t forget to clear caches so meta tags update promptly.
