How to bulk Update One WordPress Plugin (Slug or ZIP) using cPFence Tools?

Update One Plugin by Slug/ZIP (WebUI Method)

  1. Sign in to cPFence WebUI and select the server.
  2. Navigate to Tools & UtilitiesWP-AutoShield Bulk ToolsBulk Update One Plugin.
  3. Enter the plugin slug (e.g. wordpress-seo) or paste a ZIP URL.
  4. Use Verify Slug to confirm the slug exists, then click Bulk Update Plugin.
  5. Monitor the results; cPFence skips sites where the plugin is missing and updates every other install.

Combine this with the site selector if you only want to update a test group before rolling out globally.

Command Line (CLI) Method

  1. SSH into the server.
  2. Update by slug:
    cpfence --bulk-update-wp-plugin wordpress-seo
  3. Or point to a custom ZIP package:
    cpfence --bulk-update-wp-plugin https://example.com/pro-plugin.zip

Always test premium ZIP uploads on a staging server first to confirm compatibility.
