Does cPFence Fully Support IPv6 Security?

Yes, cPFence fully supports IPv6, unlike many competitors that either lack IPv6 support entirely or offer it with significant limitations. We are proud to announce that cPFence is now 100% IPv6 compatible—making us the first server security software to achieve this level of support without restrictions.

While Imunify360 is the only other software offering IPv6 support, their solution comes with limitations. In contrast, cPFence is IPv6-ready across all modules, ensuring robust protection for both IPv4 and IPv6 traffic.

What Does Full IPv6 Support Mean in cPFence?

  • IPv6 Blacklist and Whitelist: You can blacklist and whitelist IPv6 addresses the same way as IPv4, using the same commands.
  • Country Blocking Module: Now fully IPv6-ready, ensuring that country-level blocking applies consistently across both IPv4 and IPv6 traffic.
  • Brute Force Protection: IPv6 support is now extended to SSH, FTP, and Web Services. (Mail services are coming soon.)
  • IPDB Integration: cPFence IPDB now supports IPv6. As more IPv6 users adopt cPFence, our threat database will grow even stronger.

Why IPv6 Support Matters

As IPv6 adoption continues to grow, attackers are increasingly shifting their focus toward exploiting IPv6 vulnerabilities. Without proper IPv6 support, your server could be exposed to security threats. With cPFence’s comprehensive IPv6 compatibility, you can confidently protect your server against both IPv4 and IPv6 threats.
