How to enable or disable Layer7 WAF globally across all domains?

To manage the Web Application Firewall (WAF) through cPFence, it’s important to know how to manage it through the WebUI tools or CLI.

Using the WebUI

  1. Open the cPFence WebUI on your Main Control Panel server and go to WAF Management.
  2. In the “WAF Global Toggle” section, click Layer7 WAF global.

This only disables auto-protection — you can still use your own custom blacklist in this mode:

  • Layer 7 WAF:

    • Block custom IPs via: /opt/cpfence/app/cpfwaf/userdata_bl_IPs

CLI Options

cpfence --enable-layer7-waf-global
cpfence --disable-layer7-waf-global
