This guide provides instructions for managing Malware Real-Time Protection (MRTP), one of the key defenses provided by cPFence against live malware threats.
cPFence offers a powerful, browser-based WebUI for managing your Enhance cluster. The WebUI is fully mobile-friendly, allowing you to manage your entire cluster from any device—including your phone or tablet. You can apply or disable features such as MRTP across the cluster or per server with a single click.
How to Manage MRTP from the WebUI
- Open the cPFence WebUI on your Main Control Panel server.
- Navigate to: Threat & Malware Detection → Malware Protection Settings
- Use the Switch Server dropdown on the left to apply MRTP to a specific server or select All Servers to apply it cluster-wide.
- Click Enable MRTP or Disable MRTP as needed.
Managing MRTP via CLI
Alternatively, you can manage MRTP from the command line:
Enable MRTP
cpfence --enable-MRTP
Disable MRTP
cpfence --disable-MRTP
These commands instantly enable or disable real-time malware scanning across the selected server.
